Charity success repeated

Having recently participated in the nationwide “Will Aid” charity campaign, we are delighted to announce that in November we raised £3650 making a total of nearly £10,000 over the last two years.  In 2011 we were also heralded by Will Aid as one of the top performing firms in the Country.

Will Aid comprises nine charities, including Age UK, NSPCC, British Red Cross and Save the Children. Every November participating solicitors write Wills for clients in return for a donation to Will Aid charities.

Wills and Probate Executive Jonathan Edwards comments “We are delighted to have played such a successful part in Will Aid this year, and really appreciate the donations that our clients have made. To have raised nearly £10,000 for good causes over two years is something to be proud of – especially in an economic climate when charitable giving may be expected to fall.”

It is estimated that around seventy percent of people die without having made a Will, despite the possible taxation advantages in doing so, and the family arguments that can result where a person’s wishes are not clearly set out.

Managing Director Terry Jones comments “Thanks to our involvement with Will Aid we have ensured that more people have taken the opportunity of having a well-drafted Will while generously contributing to genuinely good causes. We are looking forward to playing our part again in the future.”
