Holiday homes become a burden to divorcing couples

Divorcing couples are finding that their dream holiday home in foreign destinations are now no longer considered as an asset when settling the finances on divorce. This is because of the reduction in property values of holiday homes in countries which are affected by the Euro crisis. Couples are no longer arguing as to who will get the holiday home but who will take it on knowing full well that it has decreased in value, cannot be sold and the mortgage needs to be paid.
