Janet Stevenson talks about the importance of making a Will

Janet Stevenson who is based our at Newport office is a Solicitor and full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

Janet  has worked in a variety of disciplines throughout her career but now specialises in Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Janet comments "Making a Will is something which we should all think about doing no matter what age we are and I am happy to advise as to the best way in which to leave your property to ensure that your wishes are carried out and are tax efficient.  I enjoy meeting clients face to face and feel that I have a friendly and approachable manner.

When a loved one dies often the last thing which those left behind want to do is to deal with paperwork and administering the estate, we are able to assist and deal with obtaining Grants of Probate and administering the estate.  I try to provide a sensitive approach at what is a difficult time for our clients.

With an increasing elderly population it is becoming more important to make Lasting Powers of Attorney which will enable your chosen Attorneys to help you to make decisions about both your property and financial affairs and those involving your health and welfare".
