Our Conveyancing quotes are transparent

In a recent case brought to the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority (SRA) it was highlighted that solicitors’ offices must be transparent when providing an initial quote to clients. The SRA stated that the solicitors’ final invoice must accord with the initial quote provided and while amendments to the initial quote could be made during the transaction they must have been made in writing and agreed with the client.

In light of this recent case please be careful when obtaining quotes from conveyancing firms as many firms charge, for example, for completing a stamp duty land tax form however this is not a charge made by the Inland Revenue it is an extra fee payable to the conveyancing firm.

Here at Terry Jones solicitors we ensure all our conveyancing quotes are transparent so when you telephone us for a quote for your sale or purchase you know what you will be getting from us and there are no hidden costs.
