Our girls support Race for Life

Terry Jones Solicitors would like to congratulate the charitable colleagues at our Telford and Shrewsbury branches, who spent their Saturday running in Cancer Research’s Race for Life.

Hannah Webb, Kate Gray, Kate Scully, Lee Lott, Sharon Lane and Nicole Beddall of our Telford office and Alex Hiscutt of our Shrewsbury office together with friends braved the rain and bitter winds on Saturday when they took part in the muddy 5K run at Shropshire’s Weston Park last weekend.  Between them they raised an impressive total of close to £1000 for Cancer Research.

Lee Lott who organised the Terry Jones team spoke on stage in a heartfelt way about her sister losing her life to Cancer.  Lee wanted to raise awareness and commented "you know your own body better than anyone else" and she stressed the importance to act as soon as you feel something is wrong.  Speaking to Lee today, she added  "I was delighted with the support of my colleagues, it is such a worthy cause and touches most people's hearts."

The girls were well supported with family and friends.

The Race for Life is a series of women-only 5km races throughout the UK, organised by Cancer Research.  Participants can walk, jog or run the course to raise awareness and funds for the charity’s research into 200 types of cancer.
