Rachel receives promotion

We are delighted to announce that Rachel Clements of our Newport office has been promoted to Trainee Solicitor.  Rachel will now commence a period of recognised training until she qualifies as a Solicitor on 31st January 2019.

Rachel, a valuable member of our conveyancing department in Newport, grew up on an arable farm on the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border.  Eager to study Law and move to the city, Rachel headed to London. As an undergraduate studying Law at university in London, Rachel engaged in many legal opportunities ranging from moots in the Royal Courts of Justice to networking events with City law firm Allen and Ovary, and was also a finalist of the Deutsche Bank Compliance Essay Competition 2013. In 2015, Rachel studied the Postgraduate Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield.

Rachel comments “I am absolutely thrilled to become a Trainee Solicitor and I am very much looking forward to starting my training in Newport which is a town I call home from home. I take pride in working with the local community and surrounding areas and looking to the future, I would really like to engage in more issues surrounding agricultural law. I can relate very much to the issues that farmers face on a daily basis as well as future planning and succession.”

In her leisure time Rachel enjoys travelling, socialising, running and spending time with her family.
