Supporting the Barnabas Community Foodbank Project

Our chosen charity this Christmas is the Barnabas Community Foodbank project and our staff have been generously donating gifts to local families of Shropshire who are in need of help and support especially at this time of year.

Wills and Probate Executive Michelle Simmonds who is based at our Shrewsbury office came up with the idea of supporting the Foodbank which is run by a group of volunteers who organise and distribute parcels of donated food to individuals and families every week.

Michelle commented “It has been wonderful to see everyone getting involved donating gifts including traditional Christmas fare to nappies for babies and pet food.  Staff at all our offices including Telford, Newport and Bridgnorth have all been actively involved and on Friday 16th December we delivered the parcels to various locations in Shropshire.”

Barnabas Community Projects (BCP) Director Karen Williams commented “It has been great to work with Terry Jones Solicitors and similar organisations who have contributed towards our Christmas campaign.  Their donations will help towards the 50 food parcels and hampers that will be given out this year.  We are really grateful for their support and look forward to working with Terry Jones Solicitors in 2017”.

BCP was established as an independent charitable company in 2014 to manage and develop the social action projects associated with Barnabas Community Church, in Shrewsbury.  Barnabas Community Projects is about changing lives and enriching community.  They run a wide range of holistic and relational projects which seek to empower people on a journey of personal transformation.
