We are delighted to announce that Ryan Khaira has qualified as an Accredited Police Station Representative.

Ryan graduated from the University of Derby with a BA Honours degree in History in 2015 and went on to complete his Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law’s Birmingham Centre in 2016 and his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2017.

Joining the firm on a temporary part-time basis in November 2015 whilst studying, Ryan went on to become a full time employee in July 2017 working the criminal department after completing his Legal Practice Course.

Ryan commented “I represent clients at the police station, either as detainees who have been arrested, or as volunteers who have been invited there for a voluntary interview under caution. I am able to represent clients for various offences from the most minor motoring offences to the most serious indictable offences. At the police station I ensure your rights are protected, explaining the police evidence against you and advising you properly before, during and after interview.  I am also a case worker in the Department’s Magistrates Court Section. If you are to stand trial in the Magistrates Court then it is my duty to fully prepare your case to be ready for trial. Your case will be analysed and your defence will be fully prepared”.
