We are delighted to announce that on 10th April 2017 our Wills and Probate Department were accredited by the Law Society’s Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS).
The WIQS Client Service Charter requires that accredited Firms must follow best practice procedures to meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service in providing tailored wills and probate advice.
When clients choose to use a WIQS accredited firm they can be sure to benefit from the best possible level of client care.
Our Wills and Probate Department will help our clients to understand their options and provide them with the advice that meets their needs, without making any misleading claims about the advantages of making a will, or putting our clients under pressure into buying more complex advice which is not in their best interests.
We will do our best to help our clients understand the issues in preparing a will or seeking probate advice to enable them to make a more informed choice from the outset.
We will also explain to our clients clearly the process, our costs and the likely timescales before they decide to instruct us.
As always we are committed to keeping our clients up-to-date with their matter and will communicate with our clients in plain English, and where necessary explaining any legal terminology used.
If there are any unforeseen issues which will affect the original cost estimate and timeframe we shall explain the impact of this to our clients before proceeding.
We will always treat our clients with dignity and respect at all times.
To have been accredited for WIQS we were required to meet very strict criteria and it was a very involved process focused on being regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), and upon the level of experience of the Senior Responsible Officer, Accredited Solicitors and other staff in the Department. All members of the Wills and Probate Department are required to complete mandatory training on the WIQS standard and be able to show compliance through annual re-accreditation and ongoing enforcement checks by the Law Society.
To give our clients confidence and protect them against fraud, the Law Society’s accreditation process includes checking the identity of the practice and all members of staff delivering wills and probate advice. Other checks include regulatory, insurance checks and proof of financial and risk management procedures.
We are extremely proud to be a part of WIQS and our Wills and Probate Department are on hand to assist clients with their Wills and Probate needs. If you require any assistance in this area then please do not hesitate to contact our team telephoning 01743 285888 or by emailing email@example.com
